Fred J. Adams, CPA

Born in Montgomery, Alabama and educated at the University of Utah and the Golden Gate University Branch in Seattle, Washington; Fred joined the Treasury Department as a Special Agent in 1972. He served in Las Vegas, Nevada; Seattle Washington, and Tacoma, Washington. During his service with the IRS, Fred obtained his CPA and his Masters in Taxation.

After retiring he opened his CPA practice in Kent, Washington, and devoted it to the practice of tax. He also served stints as an educator with the Justice Department for the governments of Venezuela and Columbia. He moved his practice to Greenville, South Carolina in 1997.

He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. In 2002 he added the financial planning division to his company. Fred is a dedicated family man and the father of four children.


Sheila S. Morgan, CPA

Sheila is a native of Canton, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a BS degree in Accounting.  After graduation, she worked for a large local CPA firm in Hendersonville, NC for ten years.  After relocating to Greenville in 1999, she has worked for both a large regional and local CPA firms.  She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina.  She has worked in public accounting for over 30 years and has experience in corporate, individual, non-profit, and trust taxation.  In addition, she has performed audits, review and compilation engagements for commercial, non-profit and governmental entities.  She has also assisted clients with QuickBooks and financial statement preparation.

Sheila is a member of the AICPA and SCACPA.  She served for several years on the SCACPA Peer Review Committee.

When not at work, you will often find her around the pool cheering on her daughter, a competitive year-round swimmer.  Sheila is a USA Swimming certified official and often volunteers at Devenger Dolphins, Eastside High School, and Team Greenville swim meets.  She also enjoys reading, music, and spending time with her husband and daughter.



David Adams, Staff Accountant

David was born and raised in Kent, Washington and moved to Greenville in 1997. He received his Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2007. He worked as the office manager of the Fred Adams CPA firm from 2014-2017. He is currently studying to get his enrolled agency from the IRS so he may formally represent clients. David enjoys martial arts, chess and camping . He is blessed with a beautiful wife and daughter.


Sheri Huber, Bookkeeper

Sheri was born in Bethesda, Maryland. She attended Howard Community College, taking accounting courses. She has 25 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper. She moved to Inman, SC in 2014. She has worked for the firm since November 2015. She enjoys gardening, crafts and traveling.


Stacey Shields, Office Manager

Stacey was born in New York and moved to Greenville, SC in October of 2000. She is a graduate of Hofstra University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration- Marketing. She worked for the State Farm Automobile Claims Division for 17 years, till her position relocated to Alabama. She has worked as an Office Manager since and joined our staff in September 2017. Stacey is married with 3 children.


Irene Adams, Consultant

Irene was born in Ontario, Oregon and was educated at the University of Idaho and at the University of Utah where she received her Bachelor’s of Science In History.  She began her career as a caseworker in family services for the State of Utah.  After Fred became a Special Agent and the family moved, she devoted her time to being a homemaker and raising four children.  She has worked at the firm since its origin in Washington in January, 1993.  She will soon be “semi-retired”.  Irene stays active with her family, church, and duplicate bridge. Her hobby is traveling.
